Mother's Day 2026 - Brunch

The Mother’s Day Brunch 2026 was a special community event organized by the Brummana High School Parents’ Association to celebrate mothers and bring together members of the BHS parent community in a warm and welcoming setting.

Planned and delivered by the Parents’ Association, the brunch was created as an opportunity for mothers, parents, and friends of BHS to step away from the usual school routine, spend time together, and enjoy a relaxed social gathering built around appreciation, connection, and community spirit.

The event also formed part of the PA’s wider efforts to strengthen relationships among parents, encourage greater community participation, and create meaningful occasions that bring BHS families together beyond formal school activities.

Celebrating Mothers

At the heart of the event was a simple purpose: to celebrate and recognize the important role mothers play within their families and within the wider BHS community.

The Parents’ Association wanted the occasion to feel personal, enjoyable, and memorable — a chance for mothers to meet, reconnect with friends, make new connections, and enjoy time together in an atmosphere created especially for them.

The brunch combined the celebration of Mother’s Day with the PA’s commitment to building a stronger and more connected parent community.

A Parents’ Association Initiative

The Mother’s Day Brunch was conceived, organized, coordinated, and delivered by the BHS Parents’ Association.

PA members worked together on the planning and preparation of the event, including its concept, venue arrangements, communication, logistics, participation, and the many details needed to bring the occasion together.

The event demonstrated another side of the Parents’ Association’s work: alongside its responsibilities in parent representation, governance, financial oversight, communication, and advocacy, the PA also invests time and effort in initiatives that strengthen relationships between parents and help build a genuine sense of community.

Brunch Highlights

Throughout the event, guests were able to enjoy a relaxed and social experience that included:

• A special Mother’s Day brunch

• Time for parents and friends to meet and connect

• A welcoming social atmosphere

• Opportunities to strengthen relationships within the BHS parent community

• PA-led organization and community engagement

• Special moments celebrating mothers

• Raffle draws and many raffle gifts

• A shared experience created around appreciation, friendship, and togetherness

More than simply a brunch, the event created a space where members of the BHS community could connect in an informal setting and enjoy an occasion dedicated to the mothers within our community.

Supporting the PA’s Community Work

The Mother’s Day Brunch also supported the Parents’ Association’s broader community and fundraising activities.

PA-organized events such as this help create opportunities for parents to engage with one another while also supporting initiatives undertaken by the Association for the benefit of the wider BHS community.

This combination of community building and fundraising allows social events to contribute to a wider purpose, helping the PA continue developing initiatives, activities, and projects throughout the school year.
